An award-winning broker since 2004, Nik Poulimenos is not just ‘The Name that Sells,’ he’s also a devoted father of four, loving husband, former collegiate athlete and educator. His seemingly endless amounts of energy have allowed Nik to live a full and diverse life, yet still strike the enough balance to achieve a continually successful real estate career, year after year. In becoming an ideal agent for anyone looking to buy, sell or invest, Nik has leveraged his vast knowledge of Waterloo Region with an in-depth understanding of the challenges a family faces when transitioning to a new home. He’s lived in Kitchener / Waterloo his entire adult life and his family strives and thrives within the community. Nik wants nothing more than to see his clients—and neighbours—experience the same happiness his family is so fortunate to enjoy. Nik’s love affair with the Kitchener-Waterloo area began in the early 90’s when he enrolled at the University of Waterloo. While he worked toward his Bachelor of Arts degree, Nik also competed at the highest level in Canadian university basketball. A three-year Warrior for the Men’s Varsity Basketball Team, Nik was honoured with the team’s captaincy in his final season. The discipline and leadership acumen Nik developed as an athlete has paid dividends as a former agent for Remax. Nik’s relentless work ethic has catapulted him to elite levels of production, earning him countless accolades and awards from Remax Canada. In 2021, after 18 years as a Broker for Remax, Nik Co-Founded Engel & Völkers Waterloo Region in Uptown Waterloo and was the Managing Partner at Engel & Völkers York Region in King City. Nik is now on the leadership team that has brought Manhattan’s leading real estate company, The Corcoran Group, to Ontario. He is the Director of Business Growth at Corcoran Horizon Realty. The real estate world is a natural fit for such a charismatic individual; nevertheless, it wasn’t Nik’s first career choice. He completed his Bachelor of Education at the University of Windsor and taught English and Math from 2001 to 2006. Nik’s time in the classroom helped foster the communications skills and patience required to calmly guide buyers and sellers through the moving process. They’ve also come in handy while he and his wife juggle six active lives at home! Nik is definitely a work hard, play hard kind of guy and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He burns the candle at both ends for his clients, colleagues and family because they mean the world to him.
